Nov 03, 2022 03:27PM ● By Cristi Mc KeeThe Salvation Army Tallahassee has started its search for volunteer and paid kettle bell ringers for the holiday season.
The thrift store, located at 2410 Allen Road, in Tallahassee, launches its Red Kettle Campaign every year, placing bell ringers at the front of a number of stores around Tallahassee.
The Red Kettle Campaign is the Salvation Army’s major holiday season fundraising event, bringing in the most funds.
The campaign supports the organization’s services and programs aimed at helping people in the community with clothing, food and support.
On November 11, the official kickoff of the season will open at the Killearn Shopping Center Hobby Lobby, located at 3483 Thomasville Road, in Tallahassee, where Advisory Board members will begin ringing in the season.
Soon after, ringing will take place at the Fallschase Village Center Bass Pro Shop (4059 Lagniappe Way) in addition to Hobby Lobby, and then numerous Publix and Walmart stores across the city.
The fundraising effort requires many volunteers and workers.
The Salvation Army is searching for anyone interested in supporting the cause.
