Residents of the Chastain Manor neighborhood can expect a new bus stop to be added to the neighborhood school bus route come this month.

Both Killearn Lake Elementary School and Chiles High School have added the intersection of Bannerman Road and Glenoak Trail to their bus routes after popular request.

According to Leon County District 4 Commissioner Brian Welch, he reached out to ask for it to be available for all three schools due to the need.

This new bus stop already acts as a Deerlake Middle School bus stop.

“Please remember to use caution around school bus stops and stop when their signs are active,” Welch encouraged.
