The Northside Stage taking sabbatical after 10 years of concert series
Nov 03, 2022 02:33PM ● By Cristi Mc KeeThe Northside Community Center’s The Northside Stage concert series are taking a sabbatical until July 2023, event organizers announced on October 20.
Each fall, The Northside Stages holds community concerts at The Northside Community Center, 8005 Oak Grove Road, in Tallahassee, to feature local musicians.
Prior to having the events at The Northside Community Center, the concerts were held onsite at Wildwood Presbyterian Church, located at 100 Ox Bottom Road.
For the first time in 10 years, there will be no fall or spring events.
Organizers have decided to take a sabbatical until the 5th Annual 2023 MusicFest in July.
This time away will allow them to “take a step back, take a break and reevaluate our goals and priorities.”
This decision hasn’t come lightly, and organizers are grateful for the many years of concert series that the stage has held.
While the Northside Stage won’t be hosting live music for the foreseeable future, organizers encourage everyone to “keep supporting live, local music all over town!”
